Homemade bolognese sauce
Ingredients
If you like spaghetti bolognese and want to prepare a very Italian sauce recipe, this is for you. 👇🏼
● 1.5 kg of ground beef
● 1 tablespoon of TERANA garlic pieces
● 250 g of onion
● 250 g carrot, chopped into small cubes
● 800 g of Rústica Cirio passata
● 150 ml of water
● 3 TERANA bay leaves
● 2 teaspoons TERANA ground black pepper
● 2 teaspoons of TERANA oregano
● 3 teaspoons of salt with TERANA onion
● 1 cup of red wine
● 2 tablespoons of Cirio double concentrated tomato puree
Preparation
1.Heat the olive oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Add the onion and season it (wait for it to look transparent)
2.Place the ground meat and cook it over medium heat for 10 minutes. (While this is happening, and with the help of a stick, separate the ground meat, until it is loose.) Add the carrot, salt, oregano, and TERANA ground black pepper.
3.Add the red wine and lower the heat until it is completely reduced. Then add the chopped tomato, the tomato paste and the glass of water (it should be completely covered with water).
4.Mix the sauce and add the bay leaves, cover the pan and cook for an hour (stir every 5 minutes to prevent burning), the sauce should have a thick consistency.
5.Tip: If you have leftover sauce, you can store it in the refrigerator for a week or you can freeze it for up to 4 months.
