Star anise flan

Ingredients

Prepare a delicious soft and aromatic dessert for your whole family. ⭐Star anise flan⭐:
- 1 can of condensed milk (397 g)
- 1 can of evaporated milk (370 ml)
- 4 eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 tablespoons of sugar
- 2 TERANA star anise
- Liquid candy (for the mold)

Preparation

1.Preparation of the mold: Pour the liquid caramel into the flan mold, making sure to cover the bottom and sides well. Booking.

2.Star anise infusion: In a small pot, add the 2 tablespoons of sugar and the TERANA star anise. Add enough water to cover the ingredients and bring to a medium heat. Let it boil for a few minutes to create an anise infusion. Then, remove from the heat and let it sit so the flavors can blend.

3.Preparation of the flan mixture: In a large bowl, mix the condensed milk and evaporated milk until you obtain a homogeneous mixture. Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Add the vanilla extract and strain the star anise infusion over the mixture, discarding the anise. Mix again until all the ingredients are well incorporated.

4.Baking the flan: Pour the flan mixture into the prepared mold with caramel. Cover the pan with aluminum foil and place it inside a larger baking dish. Fill the pan with hot water until it reaches approximately half the height of the flan mold.

4.Cooked in a bain-marie: Preheat the oven to 180°C. Place the pan with the flan mold into the oven and cook in a double boiler for about 1 hour, or until the flan is firm to the touch but still slightly jiggly in the center.

5.Cooling and unmolding: Remove the flan mold from the oven and let it cool to room temperature. Then, refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight so the flan sets completely. Once cooled, run a knife around the edge of the mold to loosen the flan. Place a plate over the mold and carefully turn the flan onto the plate to unmold it.

6.Serve: Serve the star anise flan in individual portions and decorate with candy threads or crushed star anise if you wish. Enjoy this exquisite dessert with its unique and aromatic flavor!
